David was a fantastic supporter of the MS International Cricket CLASSic who contributed freely of his time and energy over many years. Such a very sad loss to all. He had a big charity heart and gave so willingly.

Management and staff of 3AW and its parent company Southern Cross Broadcasting wish to pass to David`s wife Robyn, his children Caprice and Kristofer, his team mates, friends and work colleagues, our deepest and most sincere condolences. David spent more then 8 years at 3AW broadcasting first with Ross and Dean the breakfast program and then founding with Gerard Healy the ground breaking program, ``Sports Today``. David was a winner.

He had a rare gift of putting people at ease, including them in his warmth and treating them as equals. We will all miss his sunny and sometimes provocative presence in the corridors and studios of 3AW and we know that our sadness at losing this vital and wonderful spirit will be shared by all of our listeners.

David, tragically stolen before your time. You will always be remembered as e who did not have enough hours in a day to accomplish all your goals. Even though we have been geographically separated over the years we managed to maintain a wonderful close family relationship. We cherish the memories of the times we did have together.

May you continue to hit sixes. Rest in peace as we who are left behind ask `why`. The Cranage extended family, Terry, June, Adrian, Melinda, Christine, Ken, Sophie, Mitchell and Liam.
