Loving husband of MARGE. Beloved father of CRAIG, VAUGHAN, DEANE and stepfather of TAMMY, CAROL, DEBBIE, NATALIE, BARRY and their Families. Loved grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend of many.
Relatives and Friends were warmly invited to attend NEIL`s Funeral Service on TUESDAY 4.2.2014 at Newcastle Memorial Park, Anderson Drive, Beresfield, commencing at 12 noon.
Neil`s company. A beer and a laugh, a chat about the days events, or events of the world, usually ended up talking about the rugby. We didn`t get together often, but when we did it was good.
The thing I enjoyed most though, was shaking his hand when we greeted each other. He had big hands, a tradesmans hands. Big, hard, callouses, splinters, nicks and cuts, and every one of them with a story to tell, yet at the same time, they were soft and warm and gentle.
You can tell a lot about a bloke by his hands and his handshake, and every man who reads this will know what I mean, he was a knockabout bloke who had a gentle heart, and gentle soul, and I knew that from the very first time I shook his hand.
