As the family of the late Joy Cummings, we wish to thank the wonderful people of Newcastle and the Hunter Region for the comfort of your prayers, your acts of kindness, your floral tributes and your words of sympathy and support the death of our dearly loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother.
We have been deeply touched by the Community`s demonstrations of affection and respect. We extend special thanks to the staff of Christo Road and John Hunter Hospitals, Lord Mayer John Tate and the Council of the City of Newcastle, Dean Graeme Lawrence and the Community of Christ Church Cathedral, Bishop Roger Herft and Bishop Michael Malone, the Reverends Philip Thirlwell and Garry Dodd, the Aboriginal Community, Commander Ron Bender and the Officers of the NSW Police Force and Deputy Superintendant Bob Lewthwaite and the members of the NSW Fire Brigade. \r\n
