Thank you Rod for being a good mate to me during my last residency in Aussie.
Despite your health problems you had plenty of time for me whenever I popped in
to see you and always there to help me through difficult times.

It was a privilege knowing you and keeping the flag of `St. George` flying Down Under!

Rest in Peace.

  THE SONG OF MEMORY

When someone we love
passes beyond life in the
world that we know and is gone,

A beautiful sense of their presence,
like music remembered by the heart,
lingers on..

When someone we love
finds a wonderful home
in a world only faith can reveal,
Our memories can be  like
a song in the heart,
with the power to comfort and heal

      Dear Rod
Always Remembered with loving
thoughts and happy times.
Betty & Nick Stephens  xxx

Dear Rod, sorry you left so soon.  You were a wonderful neighbour always ready to help or just have a chat and a laugh.  We are glad your back is now better. We will never forget you.   Craig and Linda

Remembering Rod and how welcome he, and May, made us when we visited Australia in December 2000.

We  will always remember that time. Glad the back is finally fixed! Rest in peace now.

Finally out of pain. But you paid the ultimate price.Iwill miss you as a friend but mostly as my Little Pommie MATE Rest in Peace until we meet again.

          Tommy

Rod ,

I will miss our guitar jams and BBQ`s,and although you weren`t a

jackaroo, you were the best pommy mate I ever knew.

Grahame.

Rod, I`ll never forget the night I first met you and May ...... believe it

or not, it was 31 years ago!! A lot of water has passed under the bridge

since then but I will never forget the good times we all had together. You

and Grahame were always there playing your guitars, with May (sometimes

playing the spoons) and I close by, either talking, singing, laughing or

dancing ..........or trying to!!. I`m sure there were plenty of times you

felt like telling me to go home but never did! My fondest memories will be

of the parties we had with Pat, Mikey, Grace and Ray. Some people don`t

know how to have fun, but we certainly did! Rod, even though you`re no

longer with us you will always be with us in spirit.

Love Carol xxxx

Dear Uncle Rod

Living so close to you and Aunty May while I was growing up was great!

I`ll always remember your advice on washing my car (from the bottom up) and

the numerous times you climbed up the ladder onto the roof of our house to

let Guy and I in when we locked ourselves out....and not telling Mum and

Dad!

Thanks for all the great memories....

Love always, Jodie xx

I’VE GOT THE LAST WORD IN AGAIN!!!

There’s not a day gone by Dad when I don’t think about you

I miss you so much

Thank you for being the best father any son could ever have

You were always my idol and I always looked up to you

Even if we did have the occasional difference of opinions

But that was just because we were so alike

I’ll miss you every day and will do to the next time we meet

Love you always Dad
