Sr. Mary Mechtilde SHERINOP (Patricia)

Beloved daughter of JUSTIN and CONSTANCE SHERIN (both dec`d), younger sister of BETTY FINLAY-JONES (dec`d), sister-in-law of ROBERT FINLAY-JONES,
loving aunt and great aunt of her nephews and nieces and friend to many, and much loved member of the Dominican Sisters Community.

Sr. M. Mechtilde was a revered and respected teacher and librarian in Dominican Schools. Her passion for education continued in later life as she trained and worked to help the hearing impaired, and those needing English language tutoring. Her help was ever generous and meticulously applied.

Died at Bethel Nursing Home, Waratah, 28th July 2009 in her 91st year and and 69th year as a Dominican Sister.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Waratah on MONDAY August 3rd, 2009 at 11am. Mass will be followed by the Rite of Committal at Sandgate Cemetery.
