David BROCKHOFF
Tip Top would like to express our sadness upon hearing of the death of our colleague David Brockhoff.
We express our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
In addition to being well loved by the Australian rugby community, David will always be remembered as a legend at Tip Top. He was the National Sales and Marketing Manager from 1968 until his retirement in 1993 but, with his characteristic passion, he continued to work closely with Tip Top even after he had retired.
Davids verve and creativity are evident in some of the iconic marketing campaigns he lead - who could ever forget the "Good on Ya Mum, Tip Tops the One" jingle,
or the tagline "Man does not live by bread alone" for the Bornhoffen bread campaign?
His enduring legacy lives on and he will be very fondly remembered by all for his great character and uncompromising loyalty to Tip Top.
I worked as Dave Brockhoff’s PA at Tip Top from 1973 to 1974 and have great memories of him, especially combining his duties as National Sales Manager and coach of Sydney Uni and NSW. He was a great boss, despite his sometimes tortured use of the English language, and we had lots of laughs and fun! My thoughts are with his family at this time.
