HENLY JOHN COX
Passed away peacefully
Late of Teralba
Aged 59 Years
Relatives and Friends are warmly invited to the Celebration of Life for HENLY, beloved partner, father, father-in-law, grandad and great grandad, tomorrow THURSDAY 20.12.2012 at Reflections Chapel, 36A Glendale Drive, Glendale commencing at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Melanoma Unit at the Calvary Mater Hospital may be left at the Chapel.
I first met Henly in 1987. I was trying to build boarding kennels on rural land in Cootamundra. Fighting Barry, the abattoir owner and his mates on council proved impossible. I lost and Henly came up to comfort me in my devastation. I offered him a drink and in his usual bravado he said, I`ll have two fingers of scotch and held up his thumb and forefinger Indicating a full glass full. He got it. Then was too drunk to drive the 100 k back to Wagga Wagga. Kamron bunked in with me and Henly was unceremoniously dumped into Kamron`s bed. Thus began our life together.

I`m not ready to say goodbye
I`m not ready for "so long or see you later"
I`m not ready for this life
Without you in it
No Farewell words were spoken
No time to say good-bye
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knows why.
If tears could build a stairway
and thoughts a memory lane
I’d walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again
My heart’s still active in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know.
But now I know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has so much in store.
Since you’ll never ever be forgotten
I pledge to you today
A hallowed place within my heart
Is where you’ll always stay.
Dad I miss you so much and more and more each day
